Carolyn Kang is a native New Yorker who caught the performing bug at age 4, when she begged her mom for piano and singing lessons (thanks mom!). She has a B.A in Psychology from Columbia University, where she discovered Psychology's surprising conncetion with acting-they are both the study of human behavior, after all. Her recent work includes playing a teen bully on the latest season of "Awkwafina is Nora From Queens" on MAX, a fierce, small town preppy girl in the upcoming rom com "Escaping Ohio", and as the voice of the 2022 American Girl Doll "Girl of the Year", Corrine Tan.

Carolyn is also a writer, producer, and co-founder of the Chatty Rats Productions. Her debut film And Along Came Lily recently premiered at the Big Apple Film Festival. She is an advocate for mental health, gender equality, and racial justice. She recently made headlines after starting an initiative giving away safety alarms to AAPI New Yorkers amidst a national uptick in hate crimes against Asian-Americans. Her advocacy and filmmaking work are intersectional, with the ultimate goal of telling stories with rich, complex, AAPI characters. When she's not acting, she's listening to true crime podcasts and hanging with her dog, Pepper.
