Greg Zane

Greg Zane is an award winning director, choreographer and
teacher whose career spans the worlds of theatre and dance.
He has brought his passion for storytelling through, dance,
music, text and design to theatres that range from Diamond Head
Theatre in Honolulu to Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma to NYC’s
TheatreWorks USA in shows such as The Sound Of Music, The
King & I, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood, Peter Pan, Seussical, Elf
the Musical, The Life & Times of junie B. Jones, and Singin’ In The
Rain. Greg believes that the art of theatre is not only to
entertain and dazzle but also to be thought provoking and
revelatory. The responsibility of the director & choreographer
is to take the audience on a journey with clarity, vision and
honesty.
As a teacher, Greg has taught and coached students in ballet
technique at dance academies such as American Ballet Theatre,
Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Center, Honolulu Classical
Ballet. He has also taught master classes for various dance
schools across the country. Through his teaching Greg has
helped students strengthen their technique, understand the
mechanics of movement and body alignment, and also how to use
technique as a tool of expression. Some of his students have
included dancers from American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre
of Harlem, Royal Swedish Ballet, Boston Ballet, School of
American Ballet and Complexions.
With over a decade of experience in directing, choreographing
and teaching Greg continues to share his love for the theatre
and dance.
