Joe grew up in New Rochelle, NY next door to the burial site of Revolutionary War writer Thomas Paine and a block away from the home of Hollywood royalty Carl and Rob Reiner. His earliest childhood memory is going to see the original Star Wars in Times Square, which immediately influenced his passion for movies, storytelling and the entertainment industry as a whole.
After graduating Rollins College in Winter Park, FL with a BA in English his first job on the West Coast was with the Santa Barbara Int’l Film Festival followed by a long run at reality powerhouse Mike Mathis Productions where he served as a writer and post-production manager. A cancelled show and unscheduled hiatus from reality TV led to a career change and into the agency business which has seen him grow through The Sohl Agency, Kazarian Measures Ruskin (KMR) and Beth Stein & Associates before arriving here at Clear Talent Group.
He is passionate about discovering new talent while advancing the careers of experienced clients, loves to negotiate (and hopefully renegotiate) a contract, and leaves no stone unturned to get his roster in front of every casting director in town. His hobbies include writing, hiking and being a sports fan for all seasons – following his beloved New York Jets, Knicks, Mets and Rangers through thick and thin.
