BJ was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. BJ’S early involvement in the arts included music and painting. BJ, her husband, and their children moved to her husband’s hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia. It was there in Vancouver, BJ’S new home, her film career began. BJ was approached by a casting director and the rest is history.

BJ enrolled in a two year intensive program at Gastown Actors Studio in Vancouver, all while booking work. She has continued honing her craft over the years through study/classes/workshops etc.

With well over 100 film and TV credits to her name, BJ’s most recent work in the Netflix Limited Series MAID stands out.  MAID was directed by John Wells and others.  Award winning writer Molly Smith-Metzler (show runner) headed up the writing team for this JOHN WELLS PRODUCTION.

MAID has received multiple nominations including Golden Globes and Critics Choice nominee for Best Limited Series.  Also, MAID is one of the AFI’s AWARDS TOP PROGRAMS of the year.

Her work in NETFLIX productions includes A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS, CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA, and THERE'S SOMEONE INSIDE THE HOUSE, among others. BJ’s work can also be seen in numerous HALLMARK movies for TV, as well as the Critics Choice award nominated YELLOW JACKETS on Showtime.

BJ is known for work in Blockbusters such as RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and TOOTH FAIRY starring The Rock.

BJ has been recognized by UBCP/ACTRA as one the INDUSTRY PIONEERS February 2021. BJ was featured ACTRA MAGAZINE spring 2021, discussing what it means to be a woman of a certain age in the industry.

When not in front of the camera BJ enjoys spending time with her family.  She also finds time to indulge herself in painting.
