Carl Foreman, Jr. is a comedian, writer and actor based in Los Angeles. A veteran of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York and Los Angeles, Carl was recently named a New Face of Comedy for Characters at the 2023 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Carl has appeared on Max, TruTV, IFC and Animal Planet as an on-camera performer, and on the Tonight Show and Comedy Central as a voiceover artist. He’s written for linear and digital comedies and was also a performer in the prestigious 2020 CBS Showcase.

Carl co-wrote and co-leads the critically acclaimed IFC Comedy Crib series FRANK AND LAMAR, which has won a myriad of awards, including Best Web Series at the Urbanworld Film Festival, Best Comedy at Brooklyn Web Fest, Best Actors in a Comedy at Hollyweb Festival, and an official selection at the prestigious Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival.

Carl performs live in Los Angeles as a standup and character comedian. He also directs and teaches sketch comedy and original comedic characters at The Pack Theater. Carl’s solo character show, Working Class Heroes, can be seen at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. In addition to his comedy credentials, Carl holds an MFA in Acting from the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University.
