Derek Kahoa is an actor originally from Kaneohe, HI and is of Native Hawaiian and Portuguese descent. He can be seen most recently in a recurring role on ABC’s PROMISED LAND, the short film M.i.R. that he wrote/directed/EP’d, starring opposite Keiynan Lonsdale (The Flash), as well as the short film 6:22, that he also wrote/EP’d. He has been studying with Anthony Meindl in his masterclass for over five years and has earned two finalist awards for his screenplay ‘Maybe It’s Only Us.” He studied hula, contemporary dance, and ballet at his arts high school and was also a competitive soccer player on the state level.
