Dwain Murphy

After fifteen plus years of being in the acting business Murphy continues to land leading & major recurring roles in many U.S. & Canadian productions. Such as leading recurring role in the undercover Canadian cop drama “PLAYED”, & a recurring role on U.S. production of “STAR TREK: DISCOVERY”. Dwain has also continued to work in feature films alongside many major Hollywood actors such as Ving Rhames in “SAVING GOD”, James Denton in “FOR LOVE & HONOR”, Gerard Butler in “A FAMILY MAN”, & Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor in “THE BOOK OF NEGROES”. Most recently Dwain will serve as recurring character Dt. Akbar in season 1 & 2 of the Amazon studio TV series ‘CROSS’ based on the Alex Cross books written by James Patterson, and the recurring role of Virgil in the Prequel series ‘VOUGHT RISING’ also with Amazon studios.

He can also be seen as the lead character in the upcoming CANFRO Productions short film ‘THE OTHER STUFF’ executive produced by Anthony Farrell. Lastly, Dwain keeps his multi-talented career going with various roles in voice projects from animation to narration, and will be making his highly anticipated theatre debut for the Tarragon & Obsidian co-production play of A PROFOUNDLY AFFECTIONATE, PASSIONATE DEVOTION TO SOMEONE (-noun) written by Debbie Tucker Green.
