Fernando Martinez takes great pride and joy in his work and his adventures. Thankfully his work is an adventure. After years of self-discovery by jumping into new experiences and means to earn a living, it was through a chance encounter with Academy Award winner Renee Zellwegger at a coffee shop where the thought of becoming an actor went from being a pipe dream to a real possibility. It served as motivation, and her advice has served greatly in the progression of his acting career.  Fernando has been on hit shows such as COLONY, UNDER THE DOME, SLEEPY HOLLOW, and HOMELAND, among others, and has as a recurring role in the Netflix series BLOODLINE as well as USA’s SATISFACTION.  He recently worked with John Singleton on the FX pilot SNOWFALL.  Fernando also has a funny bone and has had the pleasure of working on sitcoms such as BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, THE MICK, 9JKL & WHITE FAMOUS.

Fernando is no stranger to the silver screen where he’s worked beside Naomi Watts, Vince Vaughn, Norman Reedus and other greats. His feature film appearances include a Supporting role in HONEYGLUE (Cannes & Newport Beach Film Festival selection) and Marvel’s ANT-MAN.  Fernando believes balance is the key to long term happiness as well as career longevity and therefore spends a lot of his free time mountain biking, hiking and dabbling in photography as well as reading books on physics and astronomy. Writing comedy, skits and short stories has been a long time hobby as well which leads to the occasional stand up set at local comedy clubs. Fernando maintains an intense focus on his career, as it is not only a job but a passion and continues to study the craft of acting in an ongoing weekly class at BGB studios in North Hollywood.
