Jake DeAnda
ake DeAnda is a working professional dancer and choreographer based in the North Hollywood area. He has had a passion for dance since age six and enjoys sharing it with others in both performing and teaching. Choreography allows him to share an art and passion for dance with those who are just beginning to those more experienced looking to continue their training.
While studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz Funk and Hip Hop at various dance studios in the San Francisco Bay Area as a child, it became clear that Hip Hop was a style he immediately loved. Jake began attending as many weekend and weeklong conventions as possible where he continued dancing in all genres with a focus on competing in Hip Hop solos and groups. Competing as a child through teen, he won numerous scholarships, awards and titles while simultaneously auditioning and booking jobs as a dancer, actor and model. He was a dance member of the Golden State Warriors Jr. Jam squad, Culture/Future Shock, Funk Beyond Control. Jake was selected out of thousands of dancers to be in the Monsters of Hip Hop annual LA dance showcase, several continuous years as a Protégé and then awarded Elite Protégé for The Pulse On Tour where mentored by world class choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Dave Scott, Chris Judd, Tricia Miranda and many others as the top Elite traveling the country.
As an adult, Jake continues to audition and work in the industry and has toured the world as a backup dancer and performer, as well as with Cirque De Soleil. He expands his choreography by teaching Hip Hop at studios and workshops while also pursuing his own training, education, growth and versatility by consistently attending dance classes, workshops and conventions.
