James Moses Black

James studied at American Conservatory theater and performed at several stand-up clubs before moving to Los Angeles.  Once in LA, James began to guest star on several different shows such as GILMORE GIRLS (WB), COLD CASE (CBS) and more recently, THIS IS US (NBC), GREENLEAF (OWN), 9-1-1 (FOX) and was seen recurring on SNOWFALL (FX). 

In total James has appeared in over 47 tv shows on all the major networks. Additionally, James has been in such films as BLACK AND BLUE, LOGAN, QUEENPINS, and TERMINATOR GENYSIS. In total, over 40 films with revenues totaling over $3 billion. Having a strong foundation of comedy, James is showing off his comedic acumen in such recent films as RENFIELD (2023), YOU PEOPLE (2023), LIZA ON DEMAND (2021), and past projects such as GET HARD (2015) and JOE DIRT 2 (2016). 

James continues to add to his creative skill set by writing films such as 55, P.O.V. and THE LAST WAR.  James is a credible actor, writer, mentor and overall great person who enjoys performing and sharing what it takes to be a working actor.  He always brings a spirit of collaboration, professionalism and continuity to all the projects he works on.
