A quintessential renaissance man and with over fifteen years of professional experience, Jemel McWilliams is an Emmy nominated and highly regarded creative director and choreographer. Jemel’s strategic approach stems from the knowledge he gained while dancing alongside many established artists. Jemel is a story teller; creating narratives with his artsy nature and free-flowing moves.
Working with artists such as Alicia Keys, Janelle Monåe, John Legend, Lizzo, and more, Jemel taps into the present moment to create a space where the artist feels free to explore and get in-tune with their body movement, while exuding the confidence needed to own any stage. Jemel has created a style that many music artists such as Janelle Monae, John Legend, Mickey Guyton, and Jon Batiste all have sought after him to collaborate and create cultural defining live performances and music videos.
