Michael Reventar

Michael Reventar is a rising actor from Toronto, Canada.  Michael is the middle son of Rodolfo Reventar, MIT Grad and mechanical engineer, and Irene Laskowski, a shopping clerk. He has two brothers, Roddie and Justin.

Michael’s first public appearance was on TINY TALENT TIME, where at the age of 5 he performed a dance routine to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” In addition to dance, he cultivated his musical gifts as a classically trained pianist, eventually going on to win the prestigious Kiwanis Music Festival at the age of 12.

As a troubled youth himself, Michael spent 10 years working with charitable organizations to assist inner-city youth in the Greater Toronto Area.

After his father-in-law’s passing from brain cancer, Michael made the bold choice to follow his passion of being an actor.

Relentlessly training with the renowned acting coach David Rotenberg, Michael burst onto the scene landing three roles in his first three weeks. He quickly built a reputation as a major talent with an incredible work ethic.

His performances include guest-starring roles in ALPHAS, NIKITA, TRANSPORTER: THE SERIES, BEAUTY & THE BEAST, History Channel’s GANGLAND UNDERCOVER, and the Netflix miniseries BETWEEN. Michael also starred alongside Rob Lowe and Elizabeth Mitchell in the made-for-TV movie PROSECUTING CASEY ANTHONY.

Most notably, Michael Reventar played the role of Farooq (Blackout) in CW’s smash hit series THE FLASH and in the Crackle series THE ART OF MORE as Miguel Araujo.

Michael has  jumped to the big-screen with projects like the heart wrenching independent feature KIDNAP CAPITAL, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor nomination from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

He can be found in Pierre Moral's action thriller PEPPERMINT, starring Jennifer Garner, as well recurring roles on THE STRAIN and DARK MATTER. He also starred in the YouTube Premiere series IMPULSE.
