Lando Coffy

Orlando Antonio Coffy Jr. A.K.A. Lando Coffy began dancing in Houston, Texas at the age of 13 in the ballroom partnering styles of Salsa & Jive. Lando grew up training under the ideal or notion of versatility & believes there’s room for growth eternally. At the age of 15, he began to branch out stylistically & became familiar with the vocabulary of other dance styles & cultures such as: Break, House, Dancehall, Whacking, Hip-Hop Choreography, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, & Jazz-Funk or Street-Jazz.

Lando’s artistry & career in the entertainment business was established upon his decision to move to Los Angeles, California at the age of 19. Not even a month after moving, he was offered a once in a lifetime opportunity that took him right out of his new home in LA & all the way across the world to Beijing, China! Lando was hired to choreograph & stage numerous performances for chart topping Chinese recording artists the likes of JANE, CHRIS LEE, JASON PARK, XIAO SHEN YANG, & VIVI. After working a few months in Beijing, Lando was then asked to teach in Hong Kong as well as choreograph, perform, & teach in Taipei, Taiwan before making his way back to the states.

Upon Lando’s arrival back in Los Angeles, he began to work with industry professionals he’d grown up around. Due extensive traveling in order to train & be mentored by the plethora of working choreographers on conventions like Monsters Of Hip Hop, The Pulse, Nuvo, ETC., Lando was able to move having already formed many lasting professional relationships. Since then, Lando has further established himself in the industry by landing principal dance, acting, singing, & modeling roles on & in a variety of music videos, television series, & award shows.

Having lived in Los Angeles now for a decade, Lando has been privileged to work with some of the greats including choreographers & creative directors: Brian Friedman, Fatima Noir, Jamal Sims, Kyle Hanagami, Rosero McCoy, Jesse Lee Santos, Tessandra Chavez, Napoleon & Tabitha Dumo {Nappytabs}, Tucker Barkley, Miguel Zarate, Miguel Antonio, Phil Collins, Ed Moore, Phlex, Hefa Tuita, Frank Gatson, Jaquel Knight, Anthony Burrell, Sean Bankhead, Isaac Tualaulelei, Tricia Miranda, Reina Hidalgo, Ellen Kim, & Ian Eastwood. 

Professionally, Lando has danced for recording artists: SHOSHANA BEAN, NATURI NAUGHTON, KRISTINIA DEBARGE, CODY SIMPSON, ZEDD, PSY, LUKE JAMES, DAWN RICHARD, AUBREY O’DAY, DANITY KANE, JENNIFER LOPEZ, & VIC MENSA. He’s sang background for DEMI LOVATO & LITTLE BIG TOWN on season 2 of X-FACTOR. You may have also seen Lando featured as a lead male actor & model in music videos for the recording artists: COMMON KINGS & FIFTH HARMONY. He has also performed as a background dancer &/or singer on television & award shows the likes of which include: RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS, SHAKE IT UP, SHARK TANK, X-FACTOR, AMERICAN IDOL, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, & MTV’s – GOING OFF. Lando has even assisted Anthony Burrell on the hit ‘Lifetime’ drama DANCE MOMS.

Lando continues to work professionally with his multiple talents in the industry as a dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, model, & educator.
