RECENT BOOKINGS: THE BEAUTY (Recurring, FX) STICK (Apple TV+)

Patrick’s big break came when he starred as 8-episode Recurring Guest Star Axel on Netflix’s hit show COBRA KAI. Most recently, he played opposite Owen Wilson in the golf comedy STICK on AppleTV+, and up next he will be seen Recurring in Ryan Murphy’s THE BEAUTY on FX. Patrick also appears opposite Amanda Seyfried as her college boyfriend in THE DROPOUT (Hulu) and as a 1920s Footballer in Damien Chazelle’s BABYLON (Paramount).

In 2023, Patrick had the immense pleasure of playing one of the Kens in Greta Gerwig’s box office smash BARBIE, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, and had a supporting role in REBEL MOON, an epic space opera written and directed by Zack Snyder (MAN OF STEEL, JUSTICE LEAGUE). Luwis can also be seen guest-starring on shows such as NCIS, ANIMAL KINGDOM, and DANGER FORCE, and as supporting characters in independent films such as THE GAMBLER and MEETING YOU, MEETING ME. Luwis also worked on the musical film THE BALLAD OF ROSA MAE, written and directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Gray Fagan.

Originally from Washington DC, Patrick graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Rhetoric from Hampden-Sydney College, where he performed as a lead in six plays. He also studied at the University of Oxford in England and in New Zealand at the University of Auckland, which he regards as one of the best times of his life because, for once, his American accent was considered cool. In Los Angeles, he has trained at studios and with coaches such as Margie Haber, Howard Fine, Lesly Kahn, Stan Kirsch, Sara Mornell, and The Groundlings. Luwis is an all-around athlete and loves anything active – skateboarding, basketball, soccer, etc. He also loves wildlife and being outside. If a snake isn't poisonous, he will most likely pick it up. Even if it is, he still might. Other hobbies include rock climbing, fly fishing, and writing.
