Ryland Shelton

Fast rising as one of the most promising and most trusted vocal coaches in Los Angeles, Ryland Shelton has found success reaching clients’ peak performances on studio recordings and on-set, as well as developing the careers of performers all over the country. His emphasis on sustainability and technique while bringing out the truest expression of te individual has earned him loyalty among clients, and his efficiency and collaborative spirit have made him  a favorite among producers and directors.

Clients include Sunset Pictures’ 2019 Drama Drama (starring Ana Golja and Cheri Oteri) on which he collaborated with choreographer Eden Shabtai and director Martin Guigui, produced by All For One Media (with whom Ryland’s journey as a performer, himself, has taken from his New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between – from Hotel Cafe and the House of Blues to Fantasy Studios and Carnegie Hall. On top of his rooted technique, his intuition and unique ability not only to recognize but to communicate and develop the strengths of the performances in front of him led him to his path as a coach.

In addition to his work in entertainment, his ground-breaking vocal development program designed specifically for members of the transgender community, TrueVoice® Vocal Development, has been a staple of offerings at The Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Trans*Lounge (the nation’s first and largest transgender community support and education facility) for more than one year as a course offering in addition to their speech therapy and other transition support tools. As of Spring 2019, Ryland has begun conducting TrueVoice workshop seminars for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility organizations beyond Los Angeles, throughout the nation.
