Stacie Webster
Stacie Webster has been moving dance students toward higher levels of personal and group achievement for the past 15 years and has been on the dance faculty at Broadway Dance Center for the past eight years. A native of southern Utah, Stacie attended Southern Utah University where she earned a B.S. in Dance Performance, and was awarded the San Christopher Scholarship. Upon her first visit to NYC in 2002, Stacie was in love with Broadway Dance Center. After earning her degree and moving to NYC in 2004, Stacie has continued her training at the legendary Broadway Dance Center, and feels very fortunate to have found a home for the best dance training in the industry.
Stacie’s love of choreography and training lead her to teaching. A passionate teacher, her love of dance began in her dance studio in the basement of her parents’ home. She studied studio jazz growing up and continued after high school to study ballet, modern, street styles, cultural, and contemporary dance styles. She has a deep belief in classical training and incorporates fundamental principles of dance into all aspects of her classes.
Her most recent projects include choreographer for Gap Kids launch of GapKids x ED line and performer at the Nickelodeon Halo Awards. Stacie has performed with Catastrophe under the direction of Cat Cogliandro, which as been featured at the Pulse in New York City and in Dance Spirit Magazine. She has also worked on projects for Nike, OfficeMax, Derek Mitchell, Big Hit Events, and the Frank Hatchett Memorial. Stacie has choreographed for Laughing Pizza, and has been awarded Pulse on Tour Choreographers Pick for her solo choreography for AIM student Olivia Battista who danced the piece in Boston 2015.
Stacie has been on faculty for the Children and Teen Program at Broadway Dance Center since 2007. She teaches Pro Jazz, Jazz Technique, Jumps & Turns, and is the Rehearsal Coach and Guest Choreographer for Arts In Motion (AIM), the youth performance and training company of BDC’s Children and Teen Program. Stacie’s students have progressed to many amazing dance opportunities including performances at venues such as Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, national tours, commercial & agent bookings, cruise line bookings, university and high school acceptances, NBA dance teams, Pulse Protégé, and assisting opportunities.
Stacie is also the director of her own training program, Project Boot Camp and Jazz Boot Camp. She offers extra training to dancers looking to get ahead in the industry with weekly challenging intensives blending fundamental training with contemporary styles. She loves working closely with guest artists and collaborations on educating dancers. Stacie works hard to understand and teach what it takes to be successful in the ever-evolving industry, and she loves the opportunity to work with young professionals from the tri-state area as they make their way to Broadway Dance Center every week to train.Before moving to New York City, Stacie performed professionally with Repertory Dance Theatre, Brigham Young University’s Theatre Ballet. She was invited to perform in the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. Stacie’s dance company Handcart Dance Company in NYC had its company premiere in September 2008 at Webster Hall in New York City. Additionally, she is a certified Massage Therapist (Academy of Massage Therapy) and completed training at the DJ Scratch Academy where she learned to develop, edit, and remix music tracks.
