Inducted into the “Inside Kung Fu: Hall of Fame” at the age of 14, Travis Wong has been featured in over 30+ international ad campaigns, choreographed for artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus & Chris Brown, and performed on stages from Universal Studios to the red carpet in Cannes.
Travis stunt coordinated recent seasons of CARPOOL KARAOKE, MAKING A SCENE WITH JAMES FRANCO, ONE DAY AT A TIME, CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, and BABYDADDY. He also coordinated motion capture for Jet Li’s latest film LEAGUE OF GODS, choreographed and shot previs for THE PURGE: THE ISLAND, THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS, MARVEL’s LEGION (Season 2 & 3), DOCTOR STRANGE, and completed stunt coordinating additional photography for PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING.
He performed motion capture for the lead character of Mowgli in Disney’s THE JUNGLE BOOK, and was the Assistant Fight Coordinator of Universals FURIOUS 7 which he received a nomination from the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Both films currently hold the record for being the two largest openings in April box office history, grossing acombined 2+ billion dollars to date internationally
While obtaining a B.A. in Theater & Dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), Travis was introduced to the sport of parkour & freerunning. One of only 30 internationally sponsored athletes of the World Freerunning and Parkour Federation (WFPF),Travis has risen as an instrumental figure within this growing community. He was the host of MTV’s ULTIMATE PARKOUR CHALLENGE as well as the first MC for the RedBull Art of Motion Parkour Championships. Currently Travis is serving as the Parkour Consultant for the newest Cirque du Soleil production VOLTA, as well as continuing his role as a guest speaker for the Navy Seal Foundation. Traveling to bases around the world, Travis has the opportunity to share his experiences in the entertainment industry as well as stressing the importance of focus when approaching parkour and life. In helping individuals change their daily mindset and the way they approach the world.
In addition to parkour, Travis is also recognized as a leader in the martial arts tricking community. The first credited Tricker in motion picture history for his role in STEP UP 3D, he has also been instrumental in its organization as a formally recognized sport. Travis created the first online battle series “TRICKSTAR: The Search for the Ultimate Tricker,” and was the Red Bull TV host of the 2016 “Kick It” and “Art of Motion” championships. In 2008, Travis opened the world renown White Lotus Martial Arts Center one of the first gyms in the world to offer instruction for stunts, martial arts, parkour, tricking and dance under one roof. It served as a base model for the parkour and movement gyms that have since opened worldwide, and was seen in numerous viral videos tallying millions of views. In 2012, White Lotus was closed and Joining All Movement (JAM) was created, an extension of this original concept that still welcomes practitioners from around the world whom visit to train.
